2024 EMS Week 50th Anniversary Challenge Coin
Creating a challenge coin for EMS Week's 50th anniversary was a true honor for our team. The coin’s design incorporates the blue healthcare symbol on a white background, paired with bold red stripes and three red stars that give it a striking, patriotic feel. The black border with gold lettering reads "2024 EMS Week" and "50th Anniversary," symbolizing the rich history and dedication of emergency medical services over the last five decades.
On the reverse side, we included the District of Columbia Fire and EMS logo, showcasing the Capitol Building alongside the American and D.C. flags, along with the fire and healthcare symbols. The gold texture on the coin adds a sense of prestige, while the black border features raised gold text that embodies the values of "Integrity, Compassion, Service, Bravery, Accountability, and Safety." It was a privilege to work on a project that honors the heroic efforts of EMS professionals and their unwavering commitment to saving lives.
DC Firefighter & EMS Bureau Challenge Coin
Creating a challenge coin for the DC Firefigher & EMS Bureau was truly an honor for our team at Challenge Design. The coin’s design reflects the essential values of the EMS Bureau: bravery, accountability, safety, integrity, compassion, and service—core principles that guide their daily work in protecting and caring for the public. The Capitol Building at the heart of the design, paired with the iconic red stripes and stars, symbolizes their commitment to serving Washington, D.C., while the blue healthcare symbol stands as a reminder of the lifesaving work they perform every day.
The bold black border, with raised gold text reading "EMS Bureau DC Fire and EMS," adds a sense of strength and unity to the coin, signifying the solidarity among the first responders who face challenges head-on. Incorporating the District of Columbia logo further ties the design to the city they serve, and the gold texture lends an elegant touch that honors the distinguished service of these professionals.
